At recom art care in Berlin-Moabit, our team combines decades of experience in high-end scanning (including CRUSE and DOM systems), reproduction photography, image editing, project management, and art logistics.

Sven Schönauer – Expert for digital processing and innovation

Sven Schönauer combines many years of experience in the printing industry with a keen eye for technological developments and consistent production standards.

In 2002, Sven founded the RECOM ART division and set new standards in art reproduction with state-of-the-art scanners such as the CRUSE scanner and the DOM scanner. In 2012, he moved from Stuttgart to Berlin, where he continued to work on the technological evolution of digitization and inkjet printing.

Sven has been leading recom art care in Berlin-Moabit since 2024. Together with his team, he develops innovative solutions for art digitization and reproduction, as well as the associated project management and logistics.

Katrin Rother – Input Digitization (Repro Photography)


Katrin Rother is a photo designer (Lette Verein Berlin) and visual artist (HfbK Hamburg / UdK Berlin). As a freelance photographer, she specializes in exhibition photography and reproduction photography—a combination that is particularly helpful when objects are delicate and require the highest level of visual precision.
Since 2019, Katrin has been overseeing the Input Digitization department at recom art care, ensuring that projects start with strong, consistent capture quality.

David Burghardt – Project Management & Customer Service, Fine Art


After completing his training as a photo designer (Lette Verein Berlin), David Burghardt worked for ten years as a photo editor for renowned publishers, including Jahreszeiten Verlag, Gruner+Jahr, and teNeues Verlag. In addition, he has been working for over 20 years as a photographer and image editor for various agencies and photographers—with very high standards for image quality and reliability.
Since 2023, David has been working for the RECOM Group (formerly recom ART, now recom art care) as a project manager and account manager in the fine art sector. He translates requirements (documentation, publication, exhibitions, print) into clear deliverables, precise timelines, and transparent communication.

Anna Sophia Bauer – Projectmanagement


Anna Sophia Bauer is a passionate project manager and a “jack-of-all-trades.” She brings years of professional experience from other industries and has also earned a master’s degree in art history and digital humanities (TU Berlin and EPFL).
At recom art care, Anna Sophia ensures that projects run smoothly—especially when fine art digitization involves many stakeholders, deadlines, and different output formats.

Paul Schaffitzel – Media Design


Paul Schaffitzel is a trained media designer. He promotes clear visual communication and reliable production workflows—which are essential if digital assets are to function consistently for documentation, publications, or print production.

Helene Bosecker – Art History & Cultural Management, Project Management


Helene Bosecker is an art historian (TU Berlin) and cultural manager. She worked for many years in the art market as a gallery manager and founded the Estonian association MTÜ Eesti-Saksa Kunstikoostöö in 2021, followed later by roam projects e. V. Since 2024, she has served as chair of the German-Estonian Society Berlin e. V.
Helene advocates for a rethinking of economic structures in the art market to benefit artists. Since 2022, she has been part of recom art care as a project manager, bringing a deep understanding of artworks, contexts, and stakeholder needs to complex digitization and reproduction projects.
