Berlin Art Week 2026 — Three exhibitions, one common thread: recom art care

back to overview

Berlin Art Week took place from September 8 to 13, 2026 — a week during which the city’s galleries, institutions, and off-spaces showcased their exhibitions. Three of the exhibitions presented during the event have one thing in common: the works on display were produced by recom art care — as fine art prints and, in some cases, as digital reproductions.

A look back at three very different projects from one week.

Unruhe & Indarella — Ralf Schmerberg in MaHalla

Starting on September 8, the MaHalla in Berlin-Oberschöneweide presented the group exhibition “Unruhe.” Running concurrently was Ralf Schmerberg’s film “Indarella,” which was made over five years and 216 days of filming in India. A film without a traditional plot, it blends documentary, poetry, and visual art; it was shot in 4K and screened with immersive sound.

recom art care produced the fine art prints for Ralf Schmerberg that were on display in the exhibition.

Short Stories — Thomas Kretschmanns Ausstellung at SLEEK Art Space Berlin

Starting on September 10, actor Thomas Kretschmann exhibited his photographs in the “Short Stories” exhibition at SLEEK Art Space Berlin—images taken between film sets in Los Angeles and Berlin, many of which were on public display for the first time. Combining behind-the-scenes glimpses with personal observations, the series paints an instinctive, cinematic picture.

The fine art prints on display in the exhibition were produced by recom art care.
