Photographer Olaf Heine is one of the most prominent photographers of his generation. For over 30 years, his Berlin studio has produced portraits, architectural photography and landscapes — a body of work that is remarkable in both its breadth and consistency.

With Human Conditions, the Kunsthalle Rostock is presenting its first retrospective featuring key works and themes from his body of work, highlighting why his work remains relevant even beyond the context of this exhibition.

Kunsthalle Rostock presents with Human Conditions the first retrospective to reflect this full scope: around 200 photographs, spatial installations, projections and video works spanning three decades.
