This is where we write about the work done every day in our studio in Berlin-Moabit: Fine Art prints, editions and the digitization of artworks.

Here you will find our technical articles on color management, the Lab color space, standard lighting, and the recom reference scan, as well as reports on projects with museums, collections, archives and artists.

What we write about

Expertise in color and printing

How does a reproduction stay color-accurate? Our in-depth articles explain the principles our work is built on: the Lab color space, color assessment under a standard illuminant and the digital reference scan, which records the condition of a work in measurable terms. There are also articles on what defines a fine art print and on how C-prints age.

Technology in the studio

Two scanning systems carry out our digitization work. The CRUSE scanner captures paintings, drawings and archival material in large format without contact. The DOM is our mobile scanning system for medium-sized originals.

Reference projects with museums, collections and artists

From the studio

We also report from the studio itself: on our team, on exhibitions during Berlin Art Week and, in our newsletters #1 and #2, on current work.

Are you planning a specific project? You will find an overview of what we offer under Fine Art Services.

For specific questions about your project, write to us by email, with no obligation.
